The Special Z Glass Door is a custom zero-clearance enclosure for a pre-fabricated, factory-built fireplace (not a masonry fireplace) and is designed for an inside fit only. The Special Z is an anodized aluminum enclosure with a 7/8" wide frame. When ordering a custom zero-clearance enclosure, you will need to have the make and model of your enclosure. Your make and model should be on a metal tag inside your fireplace, usually near the upper front.

If you choose to burn your wood fire with the Thermo-Rite fireplace doors closed, you can more than triple the net heat realized in your home from burning your fireplace. (Doors should be open when burning gas logs or with a large fire.)

Product Note: This fireplace door should remain open during burning, and it is recommended the fire does not exceed 400 degrees.

This door is custom made to your specifications, non-returnable, and unable to be canceled once in production. Custom Doors can take anywhere from 6 - 12 Weeks for production prior to shipment. Some delays may be expected due to material shortages.
