Rutland Refractory Cement is a pre-mixed, fiber-reinforced, high temperature silicate mortar for setting, coating or repairing firebrick. It's used extensively as the mortar between firebricks when building fireplace fireboxes. Rutland Refractory Cement is the ideal high-heat sealant for masonry-to-masonry joints less than 1/4" thick. Requires heat to cure and when cured it withstands 2000° F. Buff color. Passes ASTM E136 and E72.
