Mosquito Bits 30 oz

Are you ready for a product that kills mosquitos during the larvae stage before they are large enough to bite and transmit disease? Then Mosquito Bits are the product that you've been looking for.

Mosquito Bits contain BTI which is specifically designed to kill mosquitos at their larvae stage. Mosquito Bits are a highly selective microbial insecticide (BTI) that are effective against mosquitoes in a variety of habitats. Mosquito Bits are designed to kill the larvae of mosquitoes that transmit West Nile Virus, Zika Virus, Chikungunya, Encephalitis, Malaria, and Dengue Fever. As the Mosquito Bits dissolve the BTI spreads over the surface of the water and this is how it releases the biological mosquito larvicide. This larvicide gradually settles in the water where it is eaten by mosquito larvae growing there.

B.T.I. is a bacterium that controls mosquitoes and black flies in their larval filter-feeding stage of development. The larvae die after consuming the bacteria that causes a disease specific to them but are harmless to all other forms of wildlife.

Mosquito Bits get to work quickly and are an effective way to combat a wet area where mosquitos thrive

The Mosquito Bits will give a quick kill of existing mosquito larvae within 24 hours. It is recommended to re-apply every 7 to 14 days for maximum control.

Mosquito Bits are approved for application in areas that contain aquatic life, fish, and plants. Bits may also be applied to areas used by or in contact with humans, animals, horses, livestock, pets, birds, or wildlife.

Mosquito dunks are designed for mosquito control use in pools, ponds, bird baths, and other standing water

Mosquito bits are the perfect product to use in standing water found near the home. You can use Mosquito bits in water gardens, tree holes, stock tanks, animal watering troughs, rain barrels, bird baths, roof gutters, and more. Mosquito bits are perfect for areas where standing water cannot easily be controlled such as fallen leaves, swampy areas, and vehicle tracks in turf.

Are Mosquito Bits harmful to dogs?

If a dog was to eat the product, which has occurred in the past, it would not cause poisoning. The only adverse effects that could occur would be indigestion due to the fact that it is high in fiber, and would be similar to eating wood with calcium. The dog might vomit or have diarrhea, but that would be all.

How long to soak mosquito bits for fungus gnats?

Fungus gnats are common pest problems, especially with high organic and moisture content in growing media or soil. For use in growing media or soil of house, garden, and landscape plants and
home mushroom beds.

Mix 4 tablespoons of MOSQUITO BITS® per 1 gallon of water. Soak for 30 minutes and skim off the floating granules. (Granules may be placed in a nylon stocking prior to immersion in water.) Stir or shake
the water then apply treated water directly to soil or growing media surface. Compost or discard used granules. This treatment controls fungus gnat larvae present in the soil at the time of application.
Repeat weekly for three weeks. Repeat treatment again if fungus gnats reappear.

Mosquito Bits

Sadly, it didn't work on fungus gnats! I used both the rings and they plastic can. I soaked the watering can with Mosquito Bits and also poured the bits over the top of the soil. I used the sticky yellow sheets which caught hundreds of them, but still every day, there were more, flying in my eyes, up my nose, in my drink. I noticed I had 2 kinds. One had a striped rounded end and the other was smaller with a pointed end. I noticed the bigger ones disappeared, but the tiny ones with a pointed end I could not get rid of. I tried Shout dryer sheets, insecticidal soap, neem oil, blue dawn in the water with the mosquito bits. Nothing worked. I finally threw my beautiful Streptocarpus plants out and within a day, they were gone! I think I got them from a bag of manure that had been left outside when I transplanted them into bigger pots. It was HORRIBLE!

Am looking for the same qualities as the Mosquito Dunks,...

Am looking for the same qualities as the Mosquito Dunks, but able to sprinkle on areas where dunks aren't feasible. Safe for pets, wildlife gets approval. (If harmless to bees and/or other beneficial insects, you ought to splash that on your labels!) Made in USA a big plus, too.

This product has been a god-send for us!

This product has been a god-send for us! We have a swampy yard with a bad mosquito problem every year. When I received the Mosquito Bits, there were thousands if not millions of larvae in the standing water in our yard. I spread the Mosquito Bits as directed and the next day all the larvae were gone! It didn't even take much of the product to do the job. I love this product and will definitely be ordering more in the future! Thank you Northline Express!

This product seemed to work very quickly

This product seemed to work very quickly. I have a Doggy Dooley, which is a dog poop digester, with standing water inside, and it got infested with mosquito larvae. I sprinkled some of these Mosquito Bits inside, and no more mosquitoes!
